Godfather is a 2022 Indian Telugu-language political action film directed by Mohan Raja. It is a remake of the 2019 Malayalam film Lucifer. The film stars Chiranjeevi in the titular role alongside Salman Khan and Nayanthara while Satya Dev was cast in as the main antagonist in this film. The film follows the death of a revered chief minister PKR and the infighting to choose his successor. The contenders are the amibitious home minister Narayan Varma and PKR’s son-in-law Jaidev. But there is also the mysterious kingmaker Brahma, who holds the reins of power in the state. What follows is a game of political cat and mouse with each politician trying to outfox the other.
